Hi, my name is Geralyn Mackritis. Growing up I was fascinated by the proverb of “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. I went into social work because of my passion to support others as they figure things out for themselves.
My younger brother was adopted when I was 5 and I can’t imagine life without him! I also supported a sibling who made an adoption decision for their daughter, my niece, helping them navigate that difficult choice. I believe that with accurate information and a supportive non-judgmental ear, good decisions come.
Every person deserves dignity and respect when making these complex decisions. This is why I do what I do! Outside of work I love anything chocolate and the beach, playing tennis, visiting new places, and playing with my fur-baby.
Brianna Godwin
Pregnancy Counselor
Brianna started as a Counselor for Caring Choices in October of 2022. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She has over 9 years of experience in leadership and assisting underrepresented, justice involved individuals to overcome their challenges. Her passion is helping others realize their own potential so they can utilize their unique skill sets to overcome obstacles and accomplish their goals. She believes in the power of women helping women, and the importance of having someone to support and encourage you throughout your journey.
